Carver STEM Academy Celebrates Arab American Heritage with Culture, Dance, and Distinguished Guests

Carver STEM Academy recently hosted a vibrant Arab American Heritage program that immersed students in the rich traditions, history, and cultural contributions of Arab Americans. Throughout the event, students explored elements of heritage through interactive learning experiences, including traditional dance instruction and discussions centered on cultural identity and history. A highlight for many was the opportunity to learn about authentic Arab cuisine, sparking curiosity and appreciation for the diverse foods that are an important part of the culture.

The program also featured several guest speakers who shared personal insights and messages of empowerment with students. The keynote address was delivered by Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who encouraged students to embrace diversity, celebrate their identities, and pursue their goals with confidence. The event served as both an educational and inspirational experience, reinforcing Carver STEM Academy’s commitment to cultural awareness and inclusive learning for all students.
